Tonight I watched the 1964 movie Robinson Crusoe On Mars. Stranded on Mars with a monkey for company, Commander Kit Draper fashions a musical instrument to entertain himself. What instrument do you think it is? Bagpipes!

I like the choice of "Yankee Doodle" as the song in the movie. Blends the Scottish tradition with an American theme in a foreign world. Similar to reintroducing the kilt to the public today.

OH NO! Good folks, This is not my first mistake. I thought I made another error in 1974 but I was simply wrong then. Please feel free to chastise me for such an egregious fax paus (Southern boy does not recognize historical tune from region of his birth).
