The folkwear instructions are the clearest and easiest to follow I've seen. I also have the Simplicity pattern with the Argyll jacket and printed out instructions from 2 websites. Especially for a beginner I recommend the Folkwear pattern set. The Simpliciy pattern is the only one I found that has a pattern for an Argyll jacket though. If anyone wants to make an Argyll wait til the local sewing shops have a big sale with Simplicity patterns included. I got it for $1.99, regular price is $16.95 but for the kilt the Folkwear pattern is much better.
