Last night, I watched on Public Broadcasting Station (PBS) the rerun of the Dumfries episode. Really interesting!

It was very interesting, I can only agree. HRH saves the day.

As the 1st show was on Inveraray Castle, I thought it was interesting today to get my email version of the Campbell newsletter with this photo in front of the castle of the Duke, Duchess, their two young Lords and their one young Lady entertaining a group of Campbells from California. That's Lord Lorne standing between his dad, the Duke, and his sister, Lady Charlotte Mary, (to her right is of course the Duchess), while Lord Rory is in the far back left.

Think it would be better for me to YouTube the series. Around here, it would be cheaper to just take the trip to Scotland than to buy the DVDs from PBS.

    Sounds like an enlightening series.

Splendid series thus far. I enjoyed the episode on Inveraray Castle the most.

    Inverary Castle

inverary4.jpgMy wife and I were there in 2012. While she walked the dog, I went inside to see the fantastic array of claymores arranged on the walls, and the superb rooms and paintings. In my MacDonald kilt, I felt at home, and was certainly not regarded as a tourist, (see another Blog). I bought a bottle of the Duke's whisky; very good it was too.
