It's been awhile since I last posted. This thread piqued my interest, as I've been slowly putting together some Steampunk-ish attire over the past few years. Here's a picture that someone took of me with it at a sci-fi convention early last year (courtesy of https://www.facebook.com/VanderPhotography):
It's probably only Steampunk-ish in that I tried to take something vaguely Victorian and add a pair of goggles onto it, although I've been thinking of trying to expand that a bit.
Cheers!
That looks great, very inspiring.

@Mike in Dayton, I am far from an expert, but I must say that is the coolest kilted steampunk outfit I`ve seen yet! I`m afraid to ask what the gauge on your sporran is meant to register.

Thank you. I just thought I needed a gauge on there somewhere so that is where it ended up. I get a lot of comments about it measures. Most suggestions I can not put in print. My dad made the cane from a tree limb he found in the yard. The boots lace up from the bottom. A real pain to put on as it takes forever to get them laced up. The boots are just for costume as they are uncomfortable to wear. Originally I was going to add some copper tubing, small valves, and other gadgets down the side of the boots but never got around to it.

that's a very nice doublebreasted waistcoat there, may I ask where you got it? I want one!
If I remember it came from Museum Replicas along with the shirt. Both are costume grade clothing so the quality may not be adequate for anything more than that.
