Yes, I knitted the cuffs separately on DPNs. I bound off the top of the hose then just sewed the two finished edges together. Didn't use any fancy stitch, just pinned the two pieces together (adjusting for ease, as they were not exactly the same dimension) then overcast stitch to join them. Oh, and I did sew the short edges of the cuff together to form a circle before stitching that circle onto the top of the hose section. Hope that's clear, I didn't take time to photo the process. Might document the next pair when it comes time.
And no worries about spelling, trust me I've seen worse LOL
