    New hose for Bob

Finished these just in time for my sister Mary's gala Christmas dinner. I'm really pleased with the look and fit! Kilt is the Dutch Friendship that I made at this year's Kilt Kamp. Sorry about the blurred "full outfit" shot, I think the camera was confused by the Christmas lights!

For knitters: the yarn is a wool/silk/cashmere blend, the pattern is something I made up/cobbled up. Cuff is actually a scarf pattern (Dockside Cable Scarf on Ravelry) but on smaller needles it's the right proportion for cuff. Borrowed the rope border and ran one up each side of calf.

Beautiful hose. How lucky he is to have you for a sister-in-law.

Mary, are you sure that first photo isn't a little blurry because you were into the egg nog? Oddly, everything is blurry save for the kilt. Odd that.

Beautiful job on the hose, however. Very well done! I'm sure Bob is pleased.

Just to clear things up: I'm Sydnie, Bob is my husband, that's us in the photo. Venue was my sister Mary's house (marypenny here on the forum).

I am, however, on hook (needles) to make similar hose for her husband Garth -- so you're not too far off the mark!

Beautiful even tension all the way from top to bottom! You did a fabulous job on the hose, Sydnie.

I would say that the highest compliment would be if someone asked where they could buy hose like those, because they don't look hand made. Gorgeous, ... Maybe Daniel from the House of Cheviot is looking for someone to knit for them.

By the way, where did you say they came from...Just kidding.
