Were you going to include the absurdity of such festivals, paramount the SCA, in your deleted comments per chance?

No, actually. I read it quickly and assumed it said "Scottish Festival."
Since that doesn't happen until next week in Phoenix, I was going to ask how that could be.

I tried to delete but the means by which I might do that eluded me, hence my cryptic remark.

I enjoy ren-faires, Scots/Celtic festivals and such like. I used to be a Rocky Mountain Fur Trade re-enactor and attended many a Rendezvous. Even had a business in that line. My nickname, "Freep" is from my "mountain name," Freepowder--bestowed upon me for winning the booby prize in the rifle shoot a lot: a free pound of black powder (so's ye kin practice up, pilgrim) for taking last place in the rifle shoot. I *did* get better in time.

You did it correctly; the "Complete Delete" button is not available to members of XMarks, so we've always just edited out our comments and left the word "Deleted" in their stead.

I did think "Never mind," had a certain elegance about it.

    We're all here to learn

I'm the kind of guy, that if I have an interest in a subject, and there is someone who knows more about that subject than I do, I'm all ears. Tell me more. I don't pretend to know what I don't know. I'll admit when I had it wrong. So, that's one reason why I'm a member of this site. I want to learn more. I have noticed, though, that some on this site tend to thumb their nose up, at other people, who don't seem to know as much as they do. How are we gonna spread the word, help bring others in to our camp, if we criticize their efforts? Like telling people that you would never wear your kilt for a halloween party. That's your choice, but it wasn't mine. Or about attending a Renaissance festival. I find that there are many on this site, who are positive, about what I have shared, but there are those who were not. It's ok, I'm a big boy...I can take it. But there may be other newcomers who are excited about their new found interest/hobby, andName: renaissance.jpg

ID:	27498 eagerly post photos/experiences. I for one am happy to talk with others about kilts/Scotland/all things celtic. I welcome others. So I try not to criticize them. (not sure why I uploaded all these photos. The first is us at Ren Fest, a couple of years ago).

I shall apologize in advance for while I am not enslaved to fashion, I am also a smart a***.

I like your medieval t-shirt, jacket and hat!

I have a Balmoral Bonnet I wear on certain occasions:
