    I guess i like this pin I purchased for my wife as it is traditional with an contemporary style, sort of like my wife.

    I have several circular brooches I wear as kilt pins as well as the swords and axes. They work well as long as the pin is NOT centrally situated on the brooch. I find they work best with an offset pin, pinned horizontally, with the brooch hanging down from it.
    If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!
