Steve-
I have met a great bunch of folks through X Marks here, and have managed to fall in with a gang that also does not need an excuse to have a kilt night and we do so regularly.
But in looking at the event, there may be a number of folks in attendance who unfortunately have no knowledge of X Marks the Scot, so hopefully this will be a great outreach opportunity to get them over here. And increase the size of our gang.

Oh, Kilt Com sounded like something more than a kilt night.
Never mind, we have those.

Not heard of X Marks, such a travesty could never happen. Shudder the thought.

I will definitely be there. Looking forward to meeting some of you fellows. Dandelions, right? I don't wear a bonnet myself. I'll be in light brown wingtip boots with red laces.

Bamamedic,
As this event is not an X Marks event, and they have said that their crowd may not know about X Marks, you may not see a lot of dandelions. That is a uniquely X Mark thing.
But if you wear one, someone may ask about it. Then you can then mention why you wear it.

That was my point. I'll know fellow XMarkers by the Dandelion, possibly the tartan, or apparently there was a kilt pin at one time? And since I'll have none of those, I thought I would let fellow XMarkers know my fairly unique footwear.

I haven't worn a dandelion with a kilt yet, nor have I seen one being worn. I know it's an X-Marks thing, but during our regular Atlanta Kilt Nights we know each other because we're the ones in kilts. I haven't worn one to the highland games because they are in October, and there are no dandelions around then.

Alas ... I won't be able to make this event. But there's always the next kilt night.

Just look for this bunch of rabble
We will be somewhere near the bar, I'm sure.
Where the hell can you find a dandelion this time of year anyway?
