Unless wires were crossed my woad bonnet is a light blue, sky blue or UN blue. The grey tam 'o Shanter is natural herdwick sheep grey. It is scratchy, but it doesn't bother me much once it's been ona bit. I've worn it in hot weather without issue. The new bonnet is a finer wool and quite comfortable. The only thing less itchy are the soft wool berets from South Pacific Berets, which are nowhere near as bomb proof as a Historical Cap. Some of these berets make acceptable Scotch bonnets. Kilters interested in being traditional or historically accurate should consider buying from Gloria before buying modern styles such as a Mackie.
