Steve, &/or Terry - If that is indeed the "Duncan" your pictures show as brown, but they have it listed as brown pebbled leather, but in the pictures, both of yours look two-tone and smooth. Which is correct please?
How "roomy" is it, compared to some others that you may have worn?

Mine did indeed come from L&M in the Duncan style, and the leather comes in either brown or black, I chose brown and it is "pebbled", referred to as pig skin. Both the sporran and the dirk belt are dyed the same colour and made from the same leather. When I ordered the sporran I also ordered the dirk belt at the same time so the colour and pebbling is the same. There is no black on mine at all, the finish edging may be a slightly darker brown and is of a smoother, thinner, leather, hence the dye may have affected the leather colour differently .......I tried loading photos in my usual fashion and as usual some times it works and sometimes it doesn't......sorry
As far as roomy goes, I don't carry a lot of stuff in it so it is fine for me. I don't have a cell phone and my car keys are just that, keys, not a lot of fobs and such. I do have side pockets and an under apron pocket in my kilt but have never used them. I keep my wallet (bill fold) in my jacket inside pocket, but as it is not large or filled with cards and receipts etc, it would fit very easily in the sporran with the keys ......

PJ ,
Here is a hunting sporran that was made for me by the House of Labhran Highland Wear . I ordered it in their antique leather option for a more vintage look .

As we can see it's a blend between #16 and #17 in the 1936 Anderson catalogue.

I own this sporran from WE Scott and Son. It’s roomier than my D flap “day” sporrans. I’ve worn this sporran with daywear and also with black tie, and I consider it a good choice for people who don’t wear fur. Kinloch Anderson features this sporran with one of their evening wear sets. It will hold a large smartphone, big key ring, and small wallet.
