I just found an old thread where Peter (figheadair) listed the kilt as Duke of Rothesay hunting. I could only wish to have Prince Charles wear the Carolina tartan. What an honor for us if that were the case.

I think you may have misinterpreted a comment. Unless I was having a serious off day then I would never have said that because it's Prince Charles Edward. I was responsible for this particular setting, including a wide black selvedge mark. The cloth was woven by Andrew Elliot Ltd.

I did mistype my comment. The gentleman is Prince Charles. He is not wearing the Carolina tartan (though I would be thrilled if that would happen). It is the Rothesay Hunting as you and Bruce have said. Thank you for your corrections as a novice like me needs guidance.

No, it's not Rothesay Hunting, it's Prince Charles Edward tartan.
