Not a bad idea. A bottle of Graham’s late bottled vintage maybe.

I also enjoy an Irish hand grenade or two. ;)

Sorry I expect to be busy that day.

It's a thing about the timing of St Pat's. When it falls on a Saturday pretty much every gig is on the day.

But when it's mid-week the gigs will be all spread out over the weekend before plus a few on the actual day.

So far gigs on the 12th, the 14th, and the 17th.

Thanks for the reply -- I appreciate the perspective of the working piper regarding gigs on holidays.

Another forum member has invited me to join them for church on the Sunday, so I may just go exploring on my own on St. Paddy's Day in San Diego.

Because I travel so constantly, I enjoy whenever possible the serendipity of meeting people from my social network "actually" instead of "virtually."

Now my schedule is much more free!

Most of my St Pat's gigs have cancelled on me, due to the events themselves being cancelled.

Is the San Diego event still happening?

And the higher education conference I was to have attended has canceled, so I won't be coming to San Diego this weekend after all.

    Stay safe out there!

Yes, a late bottled vintage from Grahams would be a safe but sound choice, with little or no sediment to bother you when decanting. Remember port should be sipped and savoured, unlike Irish hand grenades, which appear to be gulped!
