I saw the photo and wondered if he were wearing a kilt backwards (as sometimes happens in these sorts of celebrity events) or if it was some other sort of man-skirt design. It is unfortunate that the jacket is so long, since there was clearly quite a bit of effort and tailoring put into creating the outfit.

The socks also seem to be an odd choice to me, but it's clear that the gentleman was not seeking a traditional kilt look. Therefore, my expectations and taste are not really all that relevant to this situation.

It is good to see a man who is unembarrassed about wearing something other than pants on national TV, even if his style is very different from mine.
