Two other occasions
I can think of two other instances where a kilt should not be worn.
When curling it would be at least indecorous to wear the kilt while casting the rock towards the house, judging by the stance generally adopted. It would be very inadvisable!
Even more so was a situation I was in recently. After some surgery I required the insertion of a catheter, which drains fluid directly from the bladder to a transparent bag which one attaches to the side of a leg, emptying the bag whenever it approaches maximum capacity. Trousers can fit right over the bag, the line leading to it and the velcro attachments. However, if one were to wear the kilt the catheter would be seen to emerge from beneath the selvedge edge of the kilt, moving across to the left leg and its attachment. Moreover the transparent bag would be on public display for all to see as it filled with fluid. If anyone were to wear the kilt in such circumstances it would be execrable! roll:
