For me, it would be easier on the eye to see the Royal family wearing ordinary clothing (morning dress, Highland dress, ordinary suits, or what have you) rather than ornate military uniforms.

I can’t believe it! An American not liking bling! Well if you like bling then some of us in the UK, actually quite a few by the looks of it, in the right circumstances, can do bling in style!
