    That turquoise + brown part of the tartan appears to have been directly lifted from Thompson Hunting.

    I see a number of people wearing that tartan at every local Highland Games so my "eye" is used to it.

    I'm not necessarily put off by it, but I'd like to see it in person since computer monitors are not always the most accurate way to judge hues.

    Better colours for a beer tartan would be yellow/gold for the malted barley, green for hops, blue for the water, brown for the yeast.

    Or perhaps extremely dark brown for Guinness, beige for the head, amber for ales and red-brown for reds. (Not enough contrasts, probably.)

    Just an aside, as a piper and a Guinness lover, I want bagpipes like this.
