A Scots friend of mine friend in Edinburgh with four kilts seldom wears an SD with his he says even there. I am not too fussed for casual wear like walking the local hills where its not so much an ensemble thing so why bother and for formal/invitation things one only needs to check with the hosts who will usually not mind at all. And most places like restaurants and theatres don't notice if you pop it in your sock once inside. Its security at the door in some London pubs and some ticketed events like sports matches that it matters for which I seldom wear a kilt anyway . For this thing Saturday the fake will be fine I guess as the whole hobby is about models kits plastic and other miniatures anyway!!
