Las Vegas Strongest Man competition 2025/4/26

MY wife and I went to watch my son Cameron compete in the Las Vegas Strongest Man competition yesterday and had a good time. Cameron placed 6th of the 40 athletes.

He lifted 400 pounds in the over head press and nearly got the 420.

He did 7 reps of deadlifting the van in the allotted 45 seconds

Next event the 1000 pound yoke for 40 yard. He did it in 46 seconds

Truck pull 38,000 pounds for 25 yards. 56 seconds

Last event was the stones. 250 pounds to the 6 foot platform (it was very hard for the shortest athletes) to 410 pounds to a 4 and a half foot platform at the end.

My back hurts just LOOKING at those pics!

We're visiting family in Las Vegas 5/1 to 5/5. Any outdoor events you might recommend? A friend says I should check out the "Mob Museum," which i'd not heard of previously. I've bicycled in Red Rock Canyon previously, and I'd guess there must be some nice hiking trails there. Any others you might suggest?

I actually spend very little time in Vegas but I once went to the old las vegas mormon fort state museum and really enjoyed it. My wife and I love board games and they have a great board game story in vegas called Knight and Day. I've never been but there are several wild places inside.
