So true...I'm "patiently" waiting for my Macdonald of Kingsburgh tank from Kathy Lare of Kathy's Kilts in Albuquerque. Might even be able to pick it up there when I visit in June for my late father's fighter squadron reunion. The delay is having the mill make a rare tartan rather than her most excellent sewing.
In the past I've medicated my kilt jones by buying more kilts...now I wish I would have been a bit more selective as I've learned what I like best.
The jones for my free Basil UK Survival is a bit easier since its free...but still hoping it arrives in time for my hike down to Havasupai (Grand Canyon) in May.
Point is, the kilt jones is a powerful thing...sometimes wonder if the agony of the kilt jones is more addictive than the kilts themselves...

"I'll have a kilt please, a nice hand sewn tartan, 16 ounce Strome. Oh, and a sporran on the side, with a strap please."
