To jones or not to jones.........
That, is the question.
I currently have 2 kilts from Bearkilts and 1 from Rkilts on order. I must admit that I have grown to deriving pleasure from the anticipation of finding that lovely package in my mailbox.
I currently have 6 kilts in my wardrobe; half of which I have "waited for". These are by far the best.
In my opinion there is a reason that they do not sell kilts at Walmart, or other like stores. They are, for the most part, products of artisans from which we "commission a work". So, my suggestion is to enjoy the wait as much as enjoying the ordering (commissioning) and the wearing.

That's a heck of a question from a man named Casey!
Do you work for a railroad?
You are probably right though. A big part of the enjoyment getting anything is the anticipation.

The waiting IS part of the fun. I just ordered a Cameron of Erracht Modern box pleated kilt from M.A.C.Newsome, or will after the money order is sent tomorrow And already the waiting is getting the better of me. I'll have to wait till he gets the cloth then till he makes it then till he ships it and then till fed ex delivers it. But in the end it will be all worth while!
Heres hoping that May speeds by!!!!!! for both of us.

So true...I'm "patiently" waiting for my Macdonald of Kingsburgh tank from Kathy Lare of Kathy's Kilts in Albuquerque. Might even be able to pick it up there when I visit in June for my late father's fighter squadron reunion. The delay is having the mill make a rare tartan rather than her most excellent sewing.
In the past I've medicated my kilt jones by buying more kilts...now I wish I would have been a bit more selective as I've learned what I like best.
The jones for my free Basil UK Survival is a bit easier since its free...but still hoping it arrives in time for my hike down to Havasupai (Grand Canyon) in May.
Point is, the kilt jones is a powerful thing...sometimes wonder if the agony of the kilt jones is more addictive than the kilts themselves...

My heart raced with anticipation as a saw the parcel delivery from Canada Post stop in front of the house this morning. Alas, it was only a cake from a friend in France. (Now, I must say, un gāteau d'Alsace is nothing to scoff at.)
