    Just kidding David.
My favorite Olympics to watch was the year that they were in Lillehammer. That whole event was so bare of commercial exploitation, and was more about the sport... and I'll never forget it. It was the complete opposite of the Atlanta Summer Games that had "Official Olympic Condoms" (I kid you NOT!).

I would like to visit Norway some day, but think I'll wait until August so that I can truly enjoy it.

Sorry about the taxes... but now for the REAL question:

What are you paying for a gallon/liter of gasoline these days?
We Pay about 12 Nrk for a litre for our petrol thats about $1.87 a litre I think.

We'd love to have you vist Norway Jimmy. Bring lots of money as Guinness costs $4 a can at the supermarket a pint of beer will cost you around $9.

By the way it's not a good land for Reindeer... WE EAT THEM and then make sporrans from the left overs.

...So if your Christmas presents are late this year.......
    All the Best.....David.

I prepare my Reindeer by getting it drunk and telling it it won't hurt so much and then when he's off his gaurd .....WHACK!!!!!! baseball bat with good swing...works most times.......

No really only joking ...I've never ever killed an animal in my life..just so thats straight.

    Reindeer Stew.

    700 g bone free Reindeer
    1 Onion
    3 carrots
    half a cellery root
    5-6 crushed Juniper berries
4 dl wine or water Guinness is good too
    lots of fresh Mushrooms
    5 tablespoons sour cream
    1 dl milk
    2 table spoons flour
    3 tbls Blackcurrant jucie
    Thyme

Brown the meat off (By telling it old jokes) A little at a time boiling water in between brownings to get all the juices put over in a cast iron pan
Cut your onion in boats and sliceand dice your carrot and cellery brown thoose in the pan too. Add to the meat
Crush your Juniper berries and put them in the pan together with the meat and veg let it all simmer for 30mins
    Brown your Mushrooms
stir your sour cream melk flour and add to the pot with the blackcurrent juice ,salt and pepper

let it simmer together for 20mins more.
    serve with potatoes and cranberries

One ingredient would also be to add some slices of brown Norwegian goats cheese (The cheese not the goats). This give it a certian somthing

Finally send the antlers to me .....
PS. you can use beef if you don't have a reindeer passing by

I'll bet the boneless reindeer have lots of trouble walking. As for the taxes, balance that against services and benefits. Granted in the US we pay less, but we get almost nothing in return.

while I was in the UK, a daily newspaper carried results of a survey as to the top 10 place for a holiday.

    Canada came in at No.1
    UK was about fourth
    Australia was second.

from memory USA didn't make it.

    Personally,
    1. Scotland
    2. Ireland
    3. Canada
    4. wales

I didn't rate Australia 'cos I live here.
