    this business is weird...

    You buy several different tartans... for a month or two, you'll sell LOADS of kilts in a particular tartan. Then no one will buy that tartan for 6 months. It's tough to keep tartans in stock that you know people will want.

    This happened to be the "run on Thomson".

    Do you know how best to tease apart the MacTavishes from the MacThomases from each other geneaologically? I know Thom(p)sons, Thomases, Tamesons, etc. all harken back to one branch or another but where is the split?
