    Smile Finally did it!

Ordered something more than kilt hose from Rocky...okay, did order some of them too.

Just ordered a Thomson grey semi traditional...hopefull there's a way to sew for my massive front porch. Like the colors, and in honor of my great great grandfather Levi Thompson Scott.

Other than SportKilts this is my first foray into casual tartans, so anxious to try one out.

Finances courtesy of the three check month I get twice a year when being paid every two weeks.

Hmmm, a three check month, need to check my pay calendar. Should be one for me and that means a new kilt! Of course, it might take until the next 3 paycheck month to chose one!!

So you don't wear levi's to honour your great great grandpapa?

Well, what do you know? I just ordered a USAK Thomson Grey - albeit I went with the casual style as hopefully I'll have a couple full 8-yard traditionals in the next few months (if I can sew them, that is, and if, once sewn, they are presentable). I chose the Thomson Grey because I really like the overall grey look, but also because I am a Thomson (well, MacTavish, actually).

Archangel, yup, I have been wearing Levi's for many many years to honor him..just honoring his middle name/maternal line for a while now with a tartan.

    Good Point Graham.

I think its the unbifurcated vacuum affect...sooner or later we all want one of most everything. Don't forget the camo's, they're great for hiking.

I have brackeded the tartan world with two top end hand sewn tartan Kathy's Kilts and two other end tartan SportKilts. Just sorta filling in the middle.

MacT, that's one of the reasons I chose the Thomson tartan too, a different look from my red and green Macdonald tartans.

Guess its gonna be a while though...the automatic order response from Rocky came back that they're running a 7 week lead time...didn't realize that until after I ordered...but, done it before with other kilts, guess I can do it again.

That X Marks fabric is lurking out there to medicate my jones....or cause another one....

You two have Thomson kilts on order, Steve from FK has a Thomson on order... are we slowly but surely changing the XMARKS tartan?

I'll have to get the Kilt Elves trained in weaving PV material as well! LUCKILY, I just received 25 M of Thomson... looks like I'm going to have to order more!

Just two great kilt addicted minds Rocky. And, of course the Thomson/Thompson clan is historically quite prolific.

OK, OK, I'm gonna do it. This afternoon I'm gonna buy my first lottery ticket so I can afford to bring everyone on X Marks to Victoria for the biggest kilt night ever.

That's the way it works right? The longer you wait to buy a ticket the better your chances, right?

I've also started to grow a ponytail so Ron and I will look like twins in our Thompson kilts.

Then I'm gonna stare a Kelly in her new FK mini kilt and wonder----.
