Last time I was in my local, the guy was urging me to try that brand, I promised I'd buy it next.

...and you're right about the chocolate, although I would stick to a darker bitter-sweet. I had some 87% cocoa dark chocolate that was out of this world. I discovered that trick by accident one night; I couldn't believe how well just a very small chip of dark chocolate, melted on the tongue before a sip, complimented the scotch.

As soon as I finish this bottle of Dewar's 12 (I know, it's a blend, but it is good) I'm going to get a bottle of Dalmore. I am anxious to try it.

So true, Iolaus. I have tried this with other people who have yet to acquire a taste for whisky. I remember sharing some Glenlivet 12 with my oldest. I had him try some good bitter-sweet chocolate with his drink. Next morning the bottle had as much as the night before, but the chocolate was all gone!
