Amen brother. I have less than no interest in what people do behind closed doors. As far as I'm concerned whatever 2 (or more) consenting adults do in private is their business and none of mine, gay, straight or other. It strikes me as silly for anyone to be concerned about sexual orientation. The important thing is finding love.

As a gal who has 'dated' a few men who eventually (and thankfully) came out of the closet... wearing a kilt is a guy thing... no matter who that loves that guy. Or whom he loves.

Alrighty, big ol' dork I, but I have to say folks are focusing on one thing (see my previous post) and not another- that men are men, no matter who is on their on arm for couples' dances.

    Ackwell,

A REAL compliment would have been if a STRAIGHT guy hit on you

Now THAT would be KILT POWER!

Thank you Dee for what you said.

One response that I always get, a little bit of a take off of Ackwell's original post, "You look to Straight to be Gay".

    I am just me.

Well, my main goal was to provoke some debate. I think it's a success so far

Yes! Straight or gay, we're all real men anyway.

Great thread, and a testament to the people on this board that it remained civil, friendly, and informative the whole time.

Cheers lads! I love reading this board.

    Smile

I'm very impressed with the civility of this thread, something not usually noted on internet message boards.

Regarding the original post, your best bet is to take the compliment for what it is and assert your boundaries in a civil manner.

I've been in a seven year monogamous relationship. We both have kids from previous marriages, and I served in the army in Desert Storm. I don't think you can stereotype all gays or straight guys by their actions, fashion or anything else, except their tendency to be driven by testosterone.

Wearing a kilt at the pottery show in Athens this weekend, I got lots of compliments from ladies and girls, young friggin' girls, and I had a great time. I'm a shy guy, but I'm proud of my heritage and glad I finally got a kilt.

I'm especially glad that there is a kilt community here at xmarksthescot that stands together for the ground they share in common.
