Can’t say that I have seen that many threads in which guns are brought up. As a police officer I carry a gun off duty, my dept requires me to do so. It gives me fits to try and conceal one in a kilt. I don’t want to wear a sporran the size of a briefcase to hold it and the rest of the stuff I carry, so a hidden pocket that would support the weight of a mid size handgun would be a blessing.

I think it would make a perfect pocket for an MP3 player as well.

My Derringer would fit nicely in my sporran but I only have it for it's history, the darned thing might be able to hit the broad side of a barn from the inside, keyword "might" - accuracy is not it's forte'.
Call it a flask pocket.

I echo the thoughts of Oldpagan. After trying to conceal my off-duty weapon in the sporran, it is all I can do to stuff in some money and ID. God forbid I carry anything else.
I think guns hold a fascination for the younger crowd (escpecially in the colonies ;) ).
I hope people will not shy away from the discussion of gun pockets/holsters, as some of us (Police and legal CCW bearers) have a legitimate and pressing use for these conveniences.
Remember there is a high percentage of police who are of Irish/Scottish descent and it seems that a lot more are discovering the joys of the kilt.

People aren't going to shy away from discussion about kilt pockets.
If a thread ends up being about firearms, then that thread will be ditched.
At this point, I see no reason to stop this discussion.
