I almost walked out with a sporran that was made locally. I forget if Darryl said it was his son or son-in-law, but he does leather work. It was a nice, plain, black sporran, magnetic catsh, wide mouth, and made from a very soft and supple leather.

Sounds and looks like a Buzz Kidder sporran. USA Kilts sells them for $50 apiece.

That is what I thought when I saw it. That heavy metal decoration is exactly the same as the one on my 'Buzz Kidder'.
