Drool. I see that some places are missing in the sporran section, did you by chance get some more? We need to know these things.

Glen,
No, I restrained myself (if only spending $150 on some hose, a tie, and a few pins is restraint!). However, I almost walked out with a sporran that was made locally. I forget if Darryl said it was his son or son-in-law, but he does leather work. It was a nice, plain, black sporran, magnetic catsh, wide mouth, and made from a very soft and supple leather. It is the third up from the bottom on the left hand side. That row has an extra sporran on the left side with tassels (another one made by the same person), and the one next to it with no tassels and the medallion on the flap is the one. The mouth of the sporran was also a nice big size.
And it was like walking into a candy store! I really had to restrain myself and not order a new kilt then and there. He had sample books from the major weavers, LochCarron, Marton Mills, etc., and was able to show me some of the tartans that I have been interested in gettting. It was a real treat to be able to look at, and feel, actual samples instead of viewing them on a monitor. Also got to handle some of the sghian dhub's he had and also some of the dirks. Also had a couple of swords on the wall. Not sure if they were decoration or for sale. Some nice kilted skirts as well.
Ok, I need to stop, or I am going to be on the website ordering something.

That sporran looks very much like the Country Sporran available at the Scottish Tartan Museum and a few other places. I have the Country Sporran and it is the sporran I use the most.

Hey BP, where is your cousin? In Tampa or Brandon? Or possiblt misled by the shops name as it is NOT in Dunedin anymore. I talked with Darryl, the owner, and they moved out of Dunedin many years ago because of rent costs and their building being torn down. Too bad as we used to live in Oldsmar, which is a very short drive to Dunedin!

Sounds and looks like a Buzz Kidder sporran. USA Kilts sells them for $50 apiece.
