I see that you mention getting the kilt altered in September after losing some weight. Just a quick question, but how much weigt are you looking to lose? The reason I ask, is that you could get the kilt altered right now to fit the middle hole of the straps. The kilt won't fit as good as it will in the first hole, but you would have a kilt that fits now and is still adjustable after some weight loss. Of course this is a moot point if you are looking to lose a huge amount of weigt in the next 6 months. However with really rapid weight loss comes the sad fact that some of it may come back 
Anyhow, just a thought for you.
