Same as you Sciuropterus, 150 hours logged, hoping to do a few more hours this year. Two expensive hobbies, Kilts and flying. We visited the Scottish Museum of Flight at East Fortune Airfield near Edinburgh, today. Still trying to get a decent picture of that new Dark Island kilt. Wore it today with plain leather sporran and the TFCK Lightning Bolt kilt pin. I handed Ann the camera while she was seated on her mobility scooter. She kept asking me to step further and further back to ensure the kilt got included in the shot and not just a facial portrait and here is the result. As it was taken with a cheap digital camera, the image suffers from pixellation if I try to crop and enlarge the kilt. However it shows a background of world war 2 buildings and the distant hill is North Berwick Law.
The De Havilland Comet 4 airliner was one of the last in service and was retired in 1980. It brought back memories for us as both Ann and I had flown on Comets and by Dan Air in our younger days.
One of the more impressive exhibits is this Avro Vulcan B2 which saw active service in missions Black Bull 5 & 6 in the Falklands War in 1982.
