You could start a thread in the "Kilt Nights" section that is dedicated to your region. Southern California has that, so do a lot of other regions; heck, Vancouver and Philly got so busy that they have their own forums. It's not comprehensive, but anyone who wants to be involved can subcribe to the thread and then get notifications when someone local is doing something.

Back when we were on the old server (over a year ago) location was sortable. Still sasn't much help because so many members don't list "real" locations.

My location is right up there with my forum name, number of posts and "Kilted Elder. here is a ,ap of Amelia county Va. I would be just off state route 708, about halfway between Mannboro Va and Sutherland Va. Richmond is about 30 miles northeast and Petersburg is about 20 miles east.
