    I like the sporran slings apposed to the full sporran belts. I dont know if anyone in here is a fan of them. To me though, they seem more comfortible. I dont have a very good sporran belt though, maybe thats the problem

    Cavscout makes great sporran straps. I don't even wear chains anymore since I got the strap from him.

    Welcome to the forum. I am eagerly awaiting a chestnut kilt belt, matching sporran straps, and black straps from cavscout. Now I just need a chestnut sporran.

    As a general rule (and adjust it to suit your own comfort and convenience) the top of the sporran should be about "one and a half hands plus a bit" from the top of the kilt [that works out to basically one hand below the belt buckle, if you're wearing a belt, that is].
