Does anybody else now have a weird idea for a leaf shaped sporran stuck in their brains?

In the 'How to wear a kilt' video that was posted the other day I thought I heard the lady say the sporran was worn for 'protection'. If so then the rule of thumb would be in front o' the family ......

Yeah, I heard that, and wondered, "Protection from what?" Experience tells me that if the sporran is hung too low, it bounces around so that the protection you need is a cup! I always thought a sporran was worn for storage.

Bat and Balls Swing Free!
I tighten my sporran so that my "jewels" hang freely. If the sporran is too low, it interferes with the movement of your "boys" or "baseball parts" (bat and balls).

where to wear your sporran
normaly the sporran is sited over the crotch area, there are certain advantages positioning your sporran here, also I find it the most comfortable position. place it too high and its awkward and uncomfortable, too low and its not ideal for using as a substitute to pockets, but all in all its a matter of preference.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I guess the general rule of thumb is once in the right area wear it where you feel comfortable.

Actually, I can’t get the image of wearing the sporran without the Kilt, out of my brain.
