Good luck to you Rob -
I'm always excited to hear that someone has the courage for such a life change.
I'll raise my next dram to you!

That's a little discouraging in light of the fact that I am considering buying 160 acres just outside of Roswell! Maybe I should reconsider?

Good luck Rob,
Yes Oregon and New Mexico even though both are beautiful are extremely different. Yet I like them both.
I was trying to get down to see you on one of my trips to Silver City, but somehow never could get it arranged.
My cousin went to school in Eugene, and even though I have no relatives hanging out there anymore, do have some friends I may find that I need to go visit.
Congratulations on your retirement and good luck in your new life.

Glen (and any other X-Marker),
If you make it to Eugene, Pamela and I would love to show you around the area. It's not far to many hikes in the area and I know a few places with a good selection of whisky. . We also have a few events that show off the local color - the Oregon Country Fair in early July, the Eugene Celebration in early September and the world famous Oregon Bach Festival in June/July.

Mowgli i will be passing through Eugene and might even be stopping there, my schedule is very open at the moment, though I must stop in Napa and see my grandmothers and embarrass my conservative relatives ,I haven't been back since 91(lived in Oregon from 78-90) and I have numerous family friends all over the southern part of the state, mainly around Roseburg and Glide. My youngest brother will be in Corvallis and I'm hooking up with friends who live in the Portland area.
Glen if you ever get out to Eugene let me know no matter what I'll make it there.
Things have changed at work and now is the time to go. I'm feeling relief more than anything.
New Mexico is a nice place but it is not for me ,I will miss some people and there are a few hidden treasures as far as landscape and places go.
Thanks everyone.
Rob
