It warms my heart to hear stories like that.
On the weekend at church I was having a conversation with two people I had just met, a man and a woman. I told them I was wearing my kilts everywhere outside of work because they are more comfortable, I was forced to wear pants for 50 years, and I felt it was time for a change. The woman said she loved them and hoped they became more popular (we have three kilted guys in our church now). The man said, "I admire your strength of character that you can do this, but I'm not wearing one, not in a million years"
So.....two different people, two different points of view - and I think those are in line with what other people on this forum have been reporting - a great deal of guys will just never go this way.
Later in the afternoon I took my ex wife out to dinner (I had a gift card I wanted to use and I hate eating alone) and I think she was surprised that wearing a kilt in public was such a non-issue. People were saying, "Yes sir, can we help you sir?"
Sunday was a good day.....but then I think every day I get to wear my kilt is a good day.
