Sounds like it's time to up the frequency a bit. Maybe to three times a week. Kilts don't get as dirty as trousers do.

Meadowcreek (my cousin graduated there)?
Shiloh? Brookwood? Berkmar? (the Arch-Rivals!!!)
Just curious,

to answer your question MacWage, It's Brookwood High. However, I hold no qualms against Parkview as a school. I just have fun with the football rivalry (BTW, BHS beat PHS 28 14 last friday). But enough of football and high school rivalries. I just noticed your location, Clinton SC. Are you attending Presbyterian College? That's where the Brookwood Marching Band holds its band camp.
Also, Kilted_John_Sporrano, I currently only own a Black Original UK so my kilt wardrobe is obviously limited. It also looks a little strange when you wear the same thing several days out of the week.

I disagree! I had about 5-6 pairs of jeans in high school, but I usually just rotated two of the more comfortable pairs.
Though I guess it would be much more obvious with a kilt

wearing your kilt to school
good to see you enjoy wearing your kilt to school, more guys should do this and probably want to as the kilt provides a better alterative.
I don't know if you recall the student last year in the USA who wore his kilt at the senior prom and the head of the school sent him home because he considered the boy wrongly dressed, this made headlines in the Scottish media. The Head teacher had to eventually apologise and allow the boy to wear his kilt at future events.
just wondrering if you experienced any thing like that?

Nope,I just live in Clinton. I went to Erskine College, though my wife is from Clinton. (I am 30 now with 2 kids-> age 3 and 2)
I saw Brookwood signs in Burgundy and yellow and knew what they were for. I though of decking myself out in orange blue and white, go find the Brookwood band and yell at them:
GO BIG ORANGE!!!!! GO PARKVIEW!!!! GET EM PANTHERS!!!!!
Rivalries are SO MUCH FUN, as long as they stay lighthearted. There is NOTHING sadder or more stupid than real harm done in the name of a rivalry of friendships broken.
The Keiths and Gunns have a great friendly rivalry based on centuries of bloodshed. YET, few would do real harm and I (a Gunn through the Wilsons) have yet to be treated badly (or even meanly), even AFTER I ID myslef as Gunn associated and make an anti-Keith crack!
YET, many take the anti-Campbell thinks WAY to far and threaten REAL HARM to Campbells and those wearing Campbell/Hunting Grant/Black Watch tartan, calling them "Baby Killers." I've had to actively save some unfortunate people (some of whom had NO IDEA their cheap Black Watch tartan was also Campbell colors, yet they were EXTREMELY confused what was happening) who were under abuse at the hands of the half-educated and bold. In most cases (when Glencoe was the excuse) I asked them to name the commander of the army unit at Glencoe and his superior as well as how many were actually killed out of the HUNDREDS asleep in their beds that night. Another time I asked them if they were Catholic (one had on a **** Presbyterian Church fellowship event shirt), then told them faltly that the Campbells were GREAT allies of the Presbyterians throughout the reformation and restoration issues. Another time a MacGregor was SLAMMING Campbells that each should DIE, so I told them of ROB ROY signing himself as Robert MacGregor Campbell (which he adopted during MacGregor proscription, in honor of hs mother and his protectors-> 2 seperate Champbell bigwigs). A long way of saying, KEEP IT IN CHECK.
Rivalries are A LOT of fun, as long as no-one takes it too serious!
For those ouside the Lilburn area, Parkview was started in the mid-70s in the then-rural outskirts of Atlanta. In the next decade the area exploded, so in the mid 80s, Brookwood was born out of Parkview, even using the Parkview athletic facilities until Brookwood built their own around 1990. Now, there are 2 of the best high schools in the state of Georgia (academicly and athletically). The Parkview class of 2004 lost their ONLY game in their high school football game lives in their senior year state championship game. Parkview won a few state championships around that time.
I'm just GLAD to hear of high school students in that area ACTUALLY wearing kilts to school!!! THAT is COOL!!!!
Parkview Grad,

MacWage:
You are indeed correct we Presbyterians need to be grateful to the Campbells for the determination, courage and strength they exhibited in helping to preserve the Presbyterian faith in Scotland through several centuries of religious strife.

Aside:
A few of the Campbell seem to have been genuinely CONVINCED of their faith, and made decisions reflecting such, even to the contrary to the political winds of the day. One lost his head over the matter. I am very respectful of one (who is hated my many), because of his relgious faith over and beyond his politics. He stood AGAINST the tide and backed the probable loser (contary to the normal Campbell ability to land on their feet). I just dislike the HATRED spewed by those un/ill-informed of what they are spewing over. The example was intended as an illustration.
souzaphone71,
I assume the powers-that-be are OK with the kilt and dress code. I would advise a mix of kilts styles, as that would allow multiple options for the day's duties.
Also, get one in a burgundy/garnet and gold/yellow to match school colors, as that might be passable for school functions.
Additionally, are you allowed to where a kilt in/with band? If ya'll could get a "Brookwood tartan" for the band, NOW THAT WOULD BE COOL!!! Now taking the field: The Brookwood High Marching Band, the Kilted Broncos!

If i am lucky enough, by next year I should have the necessary number of kilts to go full time kilted to school. Maybe I'll ask for a tank for my birthday this year.
My yearbook of my graduating classyear brings to me old, "... wish I'd've done this or that," memories. Then I put it away for another three, five or eight years. I suppose it may not be such an awful loss in seeing your schoolmate being accorded the honors of first to don the kilt at school. Even if he wasn't, which would be a drag. However, I tend to agree that being the first to complete ones schooling as a regular kilter should go to the one whom does it! Good show old man! I hope it's you!
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?
