Early Christmas Jonesing
I'm way too excited my wife is letting me order my Christmas gifts early, because it's easier this way, for me at least.
I order some Irish Saffron Flashes from Stillwater Kilts, to go with them I had to get an Irish Saffron Standard Kilt to match , and a pair of Nightstalker Flashes. Then my wife said "isn't there a sporran you want?", well I didn't want to disappoint her so, I placed an order for a Brown 5 Tassel Sporran from GlengarryHats in Canada.
Now for the Jonesing to begin...

Who's a lucky boy than?!? Judging by the turnaround from Jerry, you should have your new gear any day. I am envious Dave.
I am ordering a new kilt after Christmas. I have already spoken with Robert at www.westcoastkilts.com in Vancouver, and plan to order soon after Christmas. I am already anticipating placing the order and waiting for the kilt (a 4 yard casual in 14 oz MacKenzie Morgan).

Bad news for me, the sporran I ordered is out of stock so I'm getting a refund . So it looks like I have a little extra money to get something else for my kilt(s), ie. a proper kilt belt, or some kilt hose, or maybe another kilt . I'll have to wait to see what the Wife says.

Yes, new kilt, new sporran, new belt, whatever, Christmas is a time to add to the kilts and accessories.

Well my Mum was talking about buying me something kilt related but she has since decided to come and visit me in Japan in April so perhaps I'll just have to make do with her company instead!
Congrats Dave, I hope you love your new things.

Time with family is almost always the better gift anyway. Like material things, family comes and goes. The only difference is that we rarely miss the material things when they are gone from our lives. Enjoy, mate.

Colin, I absolutely agree. She came to visit me two years ago when I had no idea about where I lived and what were the 'must see' things. Now I know so much more and I am determined to make sure she has the best trip I can give her. That is far more important than anything material.

I agree with you absolutely Colin. Family is way more important than material stuff. You can always replace material things, but family is irreplaceable.
...but getting new kilt stuff sure is fun.
