The song itself is OK. But the performance was rather poor. Idol can't carry a tune, and the pipers didn't play together or in tune.... but maybe I've missed the point... perhaps it's suppose to be just a noisy ruckus.

Oh, wow - now that triggered some memories!
I grew up not far from there. I went to Ridge High. I played in the marching band. Ridge High played football against Highland Heights H.S. HHHS had a marching band that involved pipers and kilts. Ridge High had a marching band, but we did not have pipers and kilts.
I remember now that I wished I was going to Highland Heights.

I enjoyed it. I remember seeing quite a long time ago some dude playing Van Halen's "Eruption" on bagpipes. It was cool.
