I actually love the fact that we just have broadcast tv. Sure, I miss the History and Travel channels, but our local PBS station makes up for it and if there's really something on the two above cable channels that I really need to see immediately, I have a wonderful sister who will tape things for me.
netflix is definitely the way to go, especially since they're putting out just about every tv show, new and old, on dvd. sure, you have to wait a year or so to see the newer shows, but that just makes their viewing all the more pleasureable.

I'm looking forward to seeing the new series "Heroes" all at once at the end of the year instead of in installments with various breaks and reruns.

Cool, another fan.
"Are you on the list?"
That's the one show I am watching regularly. My TV is on a lot, but it's usually background noise.

Same here. My wife hasn't been able to get into it so I end up missing a week here and there. It's easy enough to follow along and read synopses on the web Tuesday morning, but it's just not the same.

Gents,
Sadly without cable we get exactly zero reception. I have had the show recommended to me highly and from what I have read it sounds like a lot of fun. Haven't seen a single seen from it though. I have heard that who ever is behind it seems to have a pretty good feel for comic books and is ae to blend comic book super powers with the real world in an interesting and unique fashion. I don't want to hear any details please! But I am looking forward to seeing the whole thing this summer.
Cheers
