well, the snow is starting to taper off here in sedalia colorado. we have seen bule sky !! I live at about 7500 feet southwest of sedalia (16-20 miles south of Denver city center) we have about 40 or more inches of snow. it will take a few hours to plow out. All in all we are well. The natives are getting restless tho. so the clean up starts in earnest. How about g-man, livingston, mudd, and you other coloradoans? peace ,Corbin
With the drifts and all my front door was covered with snow, except the top third. Even with a covered front porch. I have good neighbors that dug me out.
Blue skies are smiling on me, nothing but blue skies.
I must admit it is one beautiful sight. I wouldn't really want to move anywhere else!
I just got finished shoveling off my drive. The snow was up to my crotch. A little high for a Kilt, I think.
Yesterday was eventful. I got stuck in the snow at the bottom of an up-hill off-ramp on I 25. My boss actually came by and pulled me out with his 4x4. (We were on live TV)
Got home OK, but I had to leave the car out in front of the house because I couldn’t get up the drive. I needed to get it out of the snow and into the garage today because we are leaving on vacation tomorrow morning. (I hope) Heading West on I 70. I hope they have the passes clear by then.
I ended up working from home most of yesterday and all of today. Only had about 18 inches in most of the drive but snowblower wouldn't handle it. Parts were about 24-30 inches All done by hand and took about 4 hours. They had to go down the street and dig out my wife's car, she couldn't make it all the way up the hill yesterday morning. All in all, not that bad of a storm. I remember 6 feet of hail one summer.
We were up in Estes Park last weekend for my Dad's 80th and shoveled his drive on Monday. I'll have pics later to post of the snowshoe trek in Rocky Mountain National Park.
