I think there are some Freelander models that are sorta made inside-out if you will, so that it's the sueded side out. From what I recall they were quite sharp looking!

Yes... I found it on e-bay. 3.5 ounce gray suede. 17.4 square feet for $32 total, shipped. It seemed like a great price, so I jumped on it. It looks very nice. I had originally intended to use it for gussets on other sporrans. I think there's quite enough of it to do a Rob Roy or two plus a few gussets.
I will certainly give my opinion on the book, and will definately share pictures of the project as it developes.
