A kilt!!! call security!!!!
I visited a friend at her work...she's a chef in a hotel.
When I entered the hotel lobby the staff paniced and called security
In no time 2 security guards...the biggest they had in stock...stood in front of me..."leave or we call the police!"
I really didn't had a clue about what was going on, befuddled as can be I asked to see a manager. One security guard yelled: "We need a manager!"
Moments later a manager arrived...he bravely positioned himself behind his troopers and asked what I wanted.
I explained I wanted to visit a friend and asked for an explanation why I wasn't allowed to enter the hotel.
He explained...and assumed I was one of them...a Scottish wedding party got out of hand the previous night. The wedding guests demolished eachother and the party hall.
I cracked up and told him I was not one of them and I was there to visit their chef...a friend of mine. Somewhat relieved, but still a bit shaky he dismissed his army and showed me the way to the hotel kitchen.
My friend..."oh...it was big fun...highlight of the evening was the flying mutton roast". She showed me the party hall...it wasn't that bad, but the large greasy splat on the wall...the mutton ended his flying career there...was impressive.
On my way out when I passed the lobby, I couldn't resist....
BOO!

A winged mutton roast would make a dandy avatar!

That is a good story, funny and tragic all in the same post, thanks Robin, and good luck on your next outing.

I hate that the raucous behavior caused bad feelings for anyone and everyone kilted.
But if there just had to be a mess, I'm darn proud it was kitled Scots who did the deed.
Sounds like a bunch of Marines to me.
