A couple of years ago, I attended a gym three days a week (2 hours each day) for six months, after which I resigned as I felt and looked exactly the same after six months as the day I registered - but that's another story!
What was your question? Oh, yes! Kilts at the Health Club. Well, I wore a kilt every day I attended, but not in the gym itself of course! Yes, plenty of other guys and my Instructors saw me every time, and I do not recall any adverse comments at all. I do remember one chap saying, "So, that's how you put those things on! I've often wondered.", but Im sure any other comments, if there were any, were complimentary.
As has been said, just go for it. What others think does not matter.
