More Pix from the Supper
I thought you might like to see some of the details from our evening.

The star of the show, the haggis, came in dressed for business. While it looks pretty OK right now, it was a mess when we got through with it.

Gilmore tries to figure out how to use a dirk without getting haggis on it.

Cgrinder addresses the haggis.

David toasts the lassies in fine fashion.

Ms. CavScout responds to the toast. (She is even more charming in person than she is in writing here.)

Nixphotography reads his selection of Burns poetry.

As does Gilmore.

Mr. and Mrs. CavScout laugh at The Scot's attempts at a Scottish brogue.

SouthernScot awaits the haggis's arrival.
Just thought you'd want to see more.
Slainte.

yes, the other side of town, or perhaps at one of the more centrally located British/Irish/Celtic (themed) pubs in Buckhead, Virginia Highland inside 285?

ON my map, that area of town has the notation, "Beyond here, there be dragons!"

It looks like you guys had a great time, I'm sorry I missed the event.
Planning another event closer to the center of the metro area sounds like a good idea.

In all seriousness, I have found the Highland Tap to be a very pleasant place for meeting in the Virginia Highlands. There's also Fado's in Buckhead and the Rose and Crown just around the corner from Fado's.
For that matter, there's also a couple of Pizza Huts around.
And Splash has some new kilts coming soon, so we're gonna have to do something about them!
