The first picture on this link is of a USA Casual kilt next to a 8 yard County Laois tank. The coat I transformed myself from a tuxedo jacket. Had I known a little better at the time I would have had Rocky leave off the patch which he does. I am sure that opinions will vary, but at the time it was what I had, and since the groom didn't have a problem with it I went ahead and wore it, I was comfortable all night, and I don't know that any one noticed. I now have two 5 yard wool kilts and a 8 yard 16 oz strome on the way (hurry up Rocky). It is truly your call in the end but I thought giving you a picture would help.
Enjoy the wedding.

That's the great thing about USA Kilts, you give rocky the measurements and that's the kilt you get.
If you want the waist on your navel, measure your waist at the navel and measure the length from the navel to where you want the bottom edge to be and that's how big your kilt will be.
I have worn a USA casual to a wedding and it was fine. Of course I was the only kilt there and no one would have known the difference anyway.
