    Arrived Yesterday Swk Kilt Review

Unpacked My swk USMC kilt and removed basting stitch with no problems. The flashes and belt looked great also. Needed ironing but wore it out immediately. As compared to USAK kilts felt lighter than my USAK PV. Pleats were good but not as crisp as I had expected. Really surprised at how light it felt. I own 24 handsewn wool Tanks and a PV from USAK. This is my first acrylic. The leather on the straps were a little stiff and when I get the chance I will replace then. But OVERALL for the price , the speed of delivery, and appearance not a bad deal. I think it is a great starter kilt.Pictures to follow when I get my digital Camera repaired. CR66

The leather straps will break-in quickly! I have the Leatherneck Economy, which has a lighter weight strap, I like the straps on my standard (Black Watch) better, but I love Jerry's products!

    Enjoy!

I find that the SWK standard does seem light this time of year.

But I recall a time in Chicago when the heat index was about 100 and my SWK Standard felt heavier than platemail.
