The tartan in the photo I posted is called, Spirit of Scotland.
To view a bigger swatch, go to the Scottish Tartan Authority (the official overseer of registered tartans)
http://www.tartansauthority.com/web/site/home/home.asp
Click on the tartan ferret; in the tartan name input box type 'spirit of scotland' & hit enter; click on 'spirit of tartan' hot-button; a separate window will open with the tartan which you can maximize for best viewing.
FYI, this is the actual webpage I copied the photo from.

As for the kilt pin in the photo, I realize you can't see it real clear because of the angle the model is standing at, but the kilt pin looks like a giant safety pin. I just wanted to illustrate that it's quite common for women to wear a kilt pin on their kilt skirts.

Happiness? I'd settle for being less annoyed!!!

After all was not the kilt pin invented by a woman? Queen Victoria? Dirka you could search ebay for brooches. This is what I'm doing to find a maple leaf for my forthcoming Maple Leaf tartan, I'm alsp looking for a trillium brooch for when I get my Ontario Provincial tartan.
