I disagree, the goth culture spun off the punk culture, and all that spun off the rock culture. They all kinda go together. I'm punk/goth leaning more towards the punk side of it. My g/f is goth. I don't wear my kilt for either reason. I don't even like the kilt/skirts that are marketed for the goths. But than I'm more old school goth in the way I dress. I don't do the whole hot topic type of clothing. About the only make-up I will wear is black nail polish nd sometimes eyeliner but that crap hard to get off so I dont wear it often.
