Sport Kilt 15% off coupon
Received an email from Sport Kilt yesterday for 15% off internet orders. Have had my eye on a California tartan (The Works) so I ordered it. With the discount was just over $100. Also, ordered one of the kilts for Baby/Toddler in the Green Scott to match my adult sized one I already own in the same pattern.
I know their not tanks but I do like the colors and the heavy front apron. The drape of the material is nice too.
I've been babysitting my 6 month old grand son all day (and tonight) and am invisioning him in his first kilt.

When you get it, could you do a review on the Works kilt? I've been extremely interested to see how they compare to Stillwater's Heavyweight kilts.

His Eminence and Lord Gregory the Undefeated of Old Yarkhillshire,
They are hard to compare because they are totally different. The SWK heavy weight has that solid feel of yeads and yards of wool. It has a rough-ish feel to it. When you wear it, you really feel like you're wearing something substantial.
I have a Sport Kilt in the Green Scott ("The Works") and it is very different. Yes, you still have the freedom to kilt wearing but the material is synthethic. It's texture is smooth, the colors are vibrant, and there is enough material that it definately has some body to it. The drape/swing is very nice. It has a flow to it instead of that sort of downward pull and swing of the wool.
They each have their place. I can wear my Sport Kilt with a jacket (sorry to the manufacturer but I took off the little Sport Kilt badge on the apron which helps to make it seem dressier) and feel pretty dressed up.
OZONE - Go to the Sport Kilt link and sign up for their internet newsletter. Not only do they give you an inside edge on their products but occationnaly they do something like this and give a pretty decent discount on prices that are already pretty decent! This promotion goes through St. Patrick's Day, so you still have some time.

I have signed up for the news letter, but no luck on the promo code. Any thoughts behind that?
